We pull permits from the local building department in your jurisdiction.
Step 2
Tear-Off
We schedule a date to begin the tear-off of your existing roof, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Step 3
Dry Rot & Deck Inspection
Once the roof is torn off, we check that the sheathing is nailed down and dry rot is not present. If hidden dry rot is found, we review a change order with you before proceeding with repairs.
Step 4
Material Delivery
The supply yard delivers roofing materials directly to the top of the roof.
Step 5
In-Progress Inspections
We begin installation and schedule an in-progress inspection from the building department once 50% of the roof is installed. Some counties require a deck inspection before any materials go on, plus a final inspection.
Step 6
Finish Installation
We finish installing the shingle roof system and gutters, making sure the roof is up to code and everything is tidy for the final inspection.
Step 7
Smoke & CO Compliance
You sign a certification stating smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are installed throughout the home, as required by the local building department.
Step 8
Final Inspection
We call the building department for the final inspection and set up a ladder for the inspector. The inspector collects the compliance certification and checks the roof to complete the permitting process.
Step 9
Final Walkthrough
We confirm everything is complete and you’re satisfied. The final invoice is billed, and your workmanship warranty, paid invoice, and photos are submitted — plus the manufacturer warranty is registered and emailed to you.
